Rediscovering St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi

Last June I was invited by the Adoration sisters to animate them for three days at Bellary through Fr. Jude from St. Francis Province who is in-charge of the adoration Monasteries In India and Bangladesh....after the animation the newly elected president of their Conference asked me about preaching or taking classes in Franciscan spirituality...I willingly accepted as I saw the need for it strongly felt by those present for the conference meeting. I requested the president to plan out the program dates and days.....the first one in Kochin Adoration Monastery.....
Learning once again the story of Francis and Clare.....re-living their story and experience...
Beautiful monastery surrounded by skyscrapers and many convents and formation houses....the old Bishop's palace is next door.....
The Monastery itself is decorated with green trees and colorful flowers.....
It is very warm outside but inside the monastery it is rather cool...mosquitos are in abundance...taking care....
There are many people who come every day for the early morning 6.15am Mass....old and young...the chapel is full.....this morning Mass there were about 100 people....I loved their participation....Mass in English....
The real Kerala which is green...with coconut trees....all around...
The entrance to the adoration chapel...throughout the day old and young drop in and spend few moments before the Blessed Sacrament.....good to see the young ones spending quite moments ....
