We all learn everyday something new in our lives, we have loads of positive and negative experiences in our lives in given situations and circumstances. Everything comes to teach us and show us what is good and bad, teaches us that we have control or lost control, informs us that we need to slow down or take time to look back to the past, reflect, evaluate and come out with something new to make life more liveable and peaceable. Our failures always become a stepping stones to see something new and hope and desire to do better in future.
Our sicknesses and diseases make us aware that we are not in charge of our lives but some one who is the Creator but He has given us wisdom to take control and guide ourselves well. During these days of crisis of Corona I have been receiving videos, songs, hymns, messages etc every day...my mobile is constantly beeping sign of arrival of a new message....most of them forwarded...some are scary and frightening ....
I have stopped opening them because I feel they don't deserved to be read, seen and heard.....they only instil fears.....I prefer to watch TV news which are authentic as far as Corona virus is concerned....they give you news which is controlled and scrutinised by the Ministry of tele communication and broadcasting,....I believe...what do we learn from the Mobile stuff nothing but negative messages which adds to our woes....fearful man further instills more fear in others....more than virus the fear is spreading faster...these are weak and fainthearted people...
What we can learn and gain from this Crisis at the moment is that God has sent us a big message and that is turn to me , come back to me...don't try to be faster and bigger than me....He is telling us search and find me in the scriptures, sacraments, in relationships in the family, community and Church....it is not a time to find fault and to play games of blame but to surrender to the Lord who is in full control....he completed His mission 2000 years ago and then onwards He is actively carrying out the same mission of saving the fallen Human race through the instruments of each one of us....Let us be ready to be His voice, hands, feet...etc....
I have learnt these days that it is possible to grow in our faith in Jesus Christ. I have learnt that prayer is a sweet encounter in the external and internal silence....the presence of the Lord is real....he consoles and protects as a shepherd.....Not that He was not present but we were too busy to see him, not that prayer was not sweet encounter but we were rushing through to accomplish our tasks, we needed more time to achieve and be successful in our human endeavours.....now He is giving us more time to oil our engines, to mend and repair, to look and examine from close our lives, the time spent now in this quarantine will definitely help us to live better lives....
