Life is a flow of multiple dimensions. There is a visible world which we all are able to see while there is also an invisible world which we are unable to see but cannot discount its existence. When we look at ourselves there are three dimensions of ourselves. What we think of ourselves What others think of ourselves. What we actually are which we have not been able to comprehend.
What we think we are is an image we have drawn of ourselves based on our own likes, dislikes, conclusions, beliefs, dogmas, and so on. More often than not this remains with us and grows with the passage of time uninspected. There is a tendency to crave the validation of our image. Children want to be praised for even the smallest of deeds that they do. When someone praises us we feel good about ourselves.  On the other hand when someone criticizes we get hurt. Life has become a pendulum oscillating between these two. Look at the other side. What do people think of me? More often than not the image that I carry of myself seems to be almost the opposite of what people think of me.
Hearing his guardian singing, the senior friar says, "You know dear when you sing like that I just wish you were on the radio."The guardian smiles and replies, "Wow dear, you think I am that good?"No, but at least that way I can change the station or turn it off." This may sound a little exaggeration but more or less it is true. It is therefore important for us to edit and audit ourselves and appropriately position our own understanding of ourselves. This leads us to explore and question ourselves who we really are? What is the sum of our existence?  The great master always used to say ask this question Who Am I?  One who knows oneself gains the power to overcome all difficulties in life.
Why do we get angry? How does jealousy arise in us and what is wrong with it? Why do we want to act holier than thou more often? Why are we uncomfortable with disagreements? Why are we mostly tensed and stressed out? Why do we react to situations rather than respond? Great questions are not about whether God exists or not? Who created this Universe? How did this universe come into existence? Why this life? And so on. Bur real questions to be asked are about life. How to make life more meaningful stress-free, enjoyable celebrative and live an ecstatic life which all of us consciously or unconsciously are craving for. let us all explore.
When physically apart, we can feel the separation — we pine for the loved one who is far away. At the spiritual level, however, physicalities do not matter. At this level, you do not have to strive to become like Christ, for you are already like in his image. The urge to become One at the physical level alone is a great source of unhappiness. Ex: A young man once asked me, ‘Is it possible to be happy in this competitive world? Can one really build a happy life on a foundation of distrust?’ An Indian maxim goes like this, ‘However hard you search in the mouth of a crow, you will not find any teeth there.’ The Bible says, ‘The Kingdom of heaven is within.’ The Gita says, ‘Happiness is within.’ But we search for happiness not within but outside. We get lost in the details and forget the essence…that lies within.
