Adoration Cloistered Sisters, Nedukunaam, Changanasherry,

The monastery is in the midst of Rubber plantation...away from the town....quite and serene....you can hear the birds of all kind singing....from morning till late evening.....the sisters singing can be heard some distance....so calm and quietness......

 There are 17 sisters...some of them seniors....some middle-aged...and few young ones....they did not have vocation in last few years....they are praying for the gift.....some come to experience the Life...but when they hear that no annual vacations....living in the monastery....community life and living like a family......some of them decide the other way....

 Many people come from far and wide to request them for prayers.....

 I started my classes for them on Saturday evening,,,,four classes a day.....on the Franciscan Spirituality....I have coupled it with some practical points for living community life and Leadership in the Franciscan Fraternity....

 All classes are projected on the screen so that the sisters can take down some points for their reflection

 The classes are on the re-discovering Francis and Clare....the challenges to live Franciscan Charism and Spirituality in today's world....

The Right Choices in Life...to make Life more Beautiful

In life we are called to make some solid and strong choices to live life in a worthy way. These choices will call us to sacrifices and make some adjustments for which we will not be ready immediately. These choices are always between right and wrong, negative and positive, building or destroying, good or evil, friend or enemy, wealth or God, forgiveness or hatred. 

 Adam and Eve made a wrong choice and the result was negative, they were driven away from the garden of life…God punished them for their choice, going against his command….When we choose to be disobedient we know that it will take us nowhere, whether they are children, spouses, priest or religious, all have to face some negative effects of disobedience.
 The choices that we need today is to love our enemies however bad they are because we give them a chance to think and reform. Showing goodness to those who are always thinking or doing bad is to inviting them to see the bigger picture of life. There are many haters and cursers, abusers around us and our attitude towards them sometimes is tit for tat, or revenge. Why not we try to bless, pray and show goodness to them. There are people who have come around and changed their lives because of the positive attitude of the good people. 
 The lessons we can pass on to the others is to forgive one another….because it opens many doors for everyone….we learn not to do things that will harm others and ourselves…forgiving make us creative and givers…
 it is not a nice feeling when someone hates us for no reasons, curses us for your innocence, robs you off your dignity, abuses, steals or hits you…the feeling and experience that we have is not positive but the feeling of returning the same in a big coin. 

 This may not work at times with many persons with obligation, compulsions rather than it is our own liberation to make a right or wrong choice. Choice is ours to do to others what you want others to do to you.

Keep Crossing the Bridges in Life!!!!

In our human life and existence we all have to face ups and downs, carry our own crosses and all have bridges to cross. No one can escape from facing or walking on these bridges because they lead us to the door step of success of failures. These bridges that we walk also open multiple and huge opportunities to look forward and see the big picture of life….it helps us to overcome the fear and come out of the shell to face the challenges of human existence. The nature, society and religion offers us many remedies, ways and paths to walk on these bridges which sometimes are shaky and whacking….but there are people and the grace to  move one and walk in  faith and trust. When are discouraged God and others infuse in us courage and strength….this support to cross this bridge will take away our negative view and darkness which forbids us to walk boldly and courageously.  The grace and presence of God acts as a power to take away our deepest fears….

 When we have all the necessary graces required to walk along the difficult moments and situations, we must not be frightened to cross the bridges of life. This show of courage and strength can do away all the fears and fright which are unnecessarily we invite in our lives.  We must always call on the divine power and assistance to face all these bridges of all kind in our lives….like mistrust, abandonment, infidelity, break of vows, deserting loved ones….list can be long ….

 Walking on the bridges without fear will allow us to face the future. It is good to walk than remain always the other side groping in darkness and facing the humiliation….the other side could be bright and promising….even if it is not still it will open other opportunities for us to face. It will increase of our faith and confidence in others, the Lord and us. 

 

 Let us move on to remove those dark spots and moments which keeps us self-centered and does not allow us to change and taste the life….the fear keeps us where we are….the Lord has given us all the possible gifts and talents to look ahead and not behind…..up and not down….let us not get drown in our failures, brokenness and wounds…..face them   and move ahead…walk on the bridges…

Divided Heart!!!! No Love and Care Exists!!!!!!!

Divided Heart is a heart that contains nothing for the loved ones....divided heart runs towards ruin....experiences a fatal end.....the love that it shares with loves ones is not accepted even if it is accepted it does not have any effect because it lacks the real warmth....we know so many married as consecrated people who have fallen in this category of a divided heart....no fidelity to one's call and vocation....one falls into the trap of the evil....willingly comes forward to divide it among two realities...two homes...two persons....neither of them get the real love....

 Those who with these divided hearts are really heart broken....their hearts stops receiving any goodness from the divided hearts....their hearts get broken and stand empty of those things which make them go on in life....sadness and brokenness stands before their naked eyes....

 Many ask question how can one divide heart when one has already promised one to live faithfully....what happens on the way....it is the allurements and temptations of the world that one is willing to sacrifice everything....and stand divided....stand nowhere in human relationship...

 The broken heart cries for the conversion of the divided heart....but it is caught up in the web that his desires and evil inclinations have created.....he is not in a position to leave one and remain with the others as many lives will be affected.....but one cannot put legs in two boats and go on rowing,,,,,the divided heart has to decide for the good of himself and the other.....

The Height of Love!!!!!!!

Jeesus' offering Himself on the Cross was the highest form of Love for Human Beings....it was the height of love which human beings had ever heard, seen or read about....offering and presenting for the sake of others....forgetting oneself.....the aim and goal is the good of the others....

 Many men and women have imitated Him to offer the same Love....the highest Love but all have given love but with limitations...some had conditions....which we experience in our families, friend circles, communities....the love that we share is marred with conditions, but's and if's.....

 But there are exceptional people who have died for the sake of the others, protecting the borders the soldiers die for the sake of citizens....it is a sacrifice....the parents giving up everything for their children's sake and for their good....many who donate organs to their beloved one risking their own lives....

 My Cousin who had lost both his kidneys....he was not getting a donor....His elder sister consults the doctor on her own without the knowledge of anyone...finds out pros and cons of donating one kidney...prepares herself mentally, spiritually and finally breaks the news to the entire family about here decision.....their blood groups match....transplant was successful and a lot of people prayed and everything went on well.....now it is six years ...both of them hale and hearty.....

 A true love....highest form of Human Love.....

It all depends how we Look at Life!!!!!

As long as we have memories, yesterday remains. As long as we have hope, tomorrow waits. As long as we have love, today is beautiful. Live the life in kingsize....live and let live.....memories come and go...some remain good as well as bad....hope keeps life alive and expecting more....love life and put some love in the life of the others....every day becomes a blessing....

Blessing and Inauguration of St, Bonaventure Friary, Aurangabad...

The province has added one more friary to its list....this new friary is dedicated to St. Bonaventure....this is the third friary in the diocese of Aurangabad.....Maharashtra....On 17th Feb. the bishop of Aurangabad blessed and it was inaugurated by the Provincial Minister Fr. Philip Gonsalves....

 The Land is offered by the Bishop and the construction is done by the province....the Bishop had requested our presence to serve in the school and parish....it is also a good place for pastoral work, preaching ministry etc.....

 There are two friars who are already working in the school one...is Principal and the other is a teacher...

This friary is in the town and Auragabad is one of the fasting growing cities in India....

 Bishop Ambrose also celebrated his birthday ....the friars wished him and prayed for him....
