Assisi Ashram Bharananganam, kerala

This Friary has got many ministries. There is an initial formation house..there are 49 students of first and second year. The provincial infirmary and the total number of friars is about 21. They also have a retreat centre where in a month three weeks retreat is conducted. The participants for each week is about 300 people. The friary also runs a printing press and a magazine called Assisi is published by the capuchins for more than 50 years.
Friars Jacob K. 82 years and Wilfred 90 years old....they have done their part and now taking good well deserved rest.....God bless them and please pray for them....

 Friars Cyriac 75 years and Mathew 74 years....both unique in their way...have served the Province and Order in various capacities.....Mathew has been a missionary in North India....

 Friars Prince, young .....full of Life....Friar Abel....he stands by his name very able man....has been all over the world as missionary....last year he returned to the province from Assam....
 Friar K V Joseph....81 years....well lived life is a blessing from God.....
Br. Lawrence...a well known Canonist....full of canons memorized....has solution for every problem...students loved him for his classes and person

The friars besides the above ministries, they are available for the confessions and counseling. You can see many people throughout the day coming to the friary. The friars are doing a great service to the Church of Kerala. Old and young friars make themselves available and present for those who seek spiritual and psychological help.
The young brothers who are now trained by young friars are getting formed well. They are very young and energetic. They are hope of the Province and the Order. Let us pray that these young men may continue in the footsteps of St. Francis.
The friars in the infirmary are well looked after. i met each one of them by visiting their rooms. They welcomed with a capuchin smile and holiness. I was taken up to listen their huge and successful stories. Most of them have been missionaries either in India or abroad....they shared their joys and sorrow. It was great feeling to be these friars who have given their life to the Order and the Church.
