To recognize the Lord, We need Humility!!!

Sometimes we are confused about our own and other's Identity. We do not who we are and who are others. It needs humility to know ourselves and others. It needs to accept the fact that we got to connect to ourselves and to others. People were confused when they encountered John the Baptist and were not able to know and recognize him.
Once we are confused about our real Identity, we then begin to question ourselves, am I this, Am I that, Are you so? these questions arise out of confusion that arises due to lack of communion and union with the reality and truth of the person. Today John the Baptist is bombarded with a lot of questions by the people who were waiting for the savior and saw some signs and symptoms in him. so they asked are you the Messiah, savior etc......
But John knew who he was, he knew his identity and He also recognized that people wanted him to be exalted, lifted up high but in humility he denies and accepts that he is not the Christ, he is not the one for whom they are waiting.

He humbly declares that he is not even worthy to untie the thong of the sandals of the one who is coming. A man very sure about his identity and mission. He was in communion with the Lord...rooted in the God and then allowed to be guided by the Lord to proclaim and speak the truth about the one who is coming.
It is possible to know the way and the truth of the Lord when we are filled with true and genuine humility and then it becomes easy to recognize the presence of the Lord any where and in anyone. A humble John was able to recognize the presence of Jesus amidst the crowd.
Let us be humble enough to know and recognize the Lord who appears every moment to us in His words, Eucharist and in other people.....
Let us approach Him this year with humility to allow Him to re-fashion, re-mould and to re-orient us so that we can see Him and experience in order to proclaim.....
When we are humble then the road to the Lord becomes short and comfortable....Life takes a U-turn to be the happiest persons in the world...
Lt us be humble enough to keep up our new year's resolutions...we may fall and falter but be humble enough to approach Him to grant us strength to be on right path..
