Celebration of Feast of St. Francis of Assisi at Umralla, Bassein

The Day began with the Holy Eucharist presided over by me and concelebrated by the friars of the friary of St. Joseph, Umralla. In my homily i highlighted various virtues and principles for which St. Francis stood and lived for. How important is his message for the troubled world of today. Some incidents from his life i narrated were well accepted by the parishioners. It was a solemn Mass attended by good number of Parishioners.
After the heavy breakfast we moved to the school where the children had planned a rally around the parish.....the little children who had prepared various placards with some sayings and quotes from St. Francis. The rally's theme was "Laudato SII". It was nice to see some people christians and non-christians joining in the slogans which the little children were announcing.

This school of the Province is only 8 years old but the number is on the rise due to good quality of education imparted here. The friars and teachers together work hard to maintain discipline and standard of teaching. There are 400 children already...
Then it was time to entertainment .....small little ones danced and sang .....oh what a talent....they are good in everything.....the future bright Indians are prepared here with hard work.... all over

Moment of cutting the feast cake and wishing one another....
