I was witnessing yesterday a celebration after a long period.....as a child I grew up witnessing the celebration of the Passion of the Lord in my parish....where three days were full of spiritual activity...the schools closed and we had only to attend the celebrations...the liturgy was special....we would await for the Good Friday to see and participate in the procession .....the statutes of Mother Mary, Jesus and Veronica.....taken in procession.....then the crucifixion of the Lord....then taking the Body of Jesus down....only the elders were responsible.....they would manage the whole program....it was memorable....a big lesson in Faith and spirituality....
The enactment brought back all sweet memories to my mind.....the scenes were moving...moisturizing my eyes and the others too....the singing was spiritually moving...
