The awareness of the indwelling Divine Presence is the birthright of all Christians.
-
It’s a natural development of the grace of baptism, a normal evolution of a genuine spiritual life and hence open to all Christians.
-
So, it’s normal to be a contemplative; it’s just need to be cultivated.
-
What distinguishes us most from the rest of visible creation is our capacity for the transcendent. It is what makes us human.
-
And we all need this repeated experience of interior silence in order to be fully human.
-
The more we journey towards the still and silent depths of our hearts/our inner being/the centre, the closer we are both to God and to each other.
-
The problem of feeling isolated from both God and others is overcome in the experience of the heart/the inner being/centre.
-
Communion with God is not something we are trying to acquire. God is already the ground of our being. It is a question of realizing this in our lives.
-
“Communion is the nature of ultimate reality.”
