Padova Capuchin Ashram and St. Anthony's Church, Chapirevula, Nandyal

 A stage for the annual feast of st. anthony which draws about 5000 people every year...the people come from different parts of the diocese to celebrate the feast. Friars organize the novenas and the feast celebrations in a grand scale.....this stage has been constructed by one of the devotees.....
 The Church building and the new friary wing....the Capuchins are serving in this parish since 1998...they have about 190 Catholic families solid in Catholic faith...the Church has been declared as the second shrine in the diocese......the devotion to st. anthony is popular in this part of the diocese...
 The friars have about 30 acres of land...out of which 15 is cultivated with the help of the parishioners.....

 The first Tuesday of the month about one thousand devotees flock here for the Novena for which a preacher is invited from the diocese.....the devotees come forward to sponsor the lunch for all the devotees....it is worth to see their faith expression.....1000 people served meal at one go with the volunteers serving them...
 Young and old pray to St. Anthony.........

 After the Mass.....people rush to kiss the relics of St. Anthony......let us pray that this shrine becomes popular with the other religions too......

 St. Anthony has devotees from all walks of life, religion......

 It is festive mood......every month.....rain and sun does not deter them from being present.....yesterday the transport had called a stir.....and no transport was available still the devotees....turned up with hired transport and many of them walked the distance as far as 10Km

 The Eucharistic banquet leads them to fellowship .....

 Brothers and sisters when live in unity....there is joy....congregation of servants of Mary, from France....are running a school......they have a good rapport with the friars.....we were invited for the dinner last night
