One desires a good life and time after the retirement....after a long ministry in the Province....after many years of missionary work....the friars long a quite and hazel free fraternal life....where is there is care and concern....where you feel that you are a Brother....where other brothers respect and care for you for what you have done and achieved but for what you are as a Capuchin....They wear a smile because they know that there are friars who are looking after, friars who visit them, friars who are praying for them.
A beautiful infirmary for the senior and sick friars....surrounding is very natural....it is in the midst of city of Pamplona....they say outside the wall...earlier in this place only poor, robbers would live....today it is one of the best areas of the city...
The Chapel is a cosy place for the friars to pray and meditate....they spend good amount of time in prayer...
The city around....you can see the Cathedral....
The senior and old friars are about 40 of them.....they spent time in recreation, exercises......and therapies.....
The friars also have a parish but there is a separate fraternity which looks after the parish...
Friars Maria and Guardian of the infirmary.....a lay brother.....wonderful work he does....he said that the best ministry is to look after the friars....he lacks time....time flies he said....there is so much to do....one is on one's toe....you got be ready to take call....what a wonderful ministry.....
I wish the provinces do the same.....it will be good to visit this infirmary if you are planing a infirmary in your province....
