The sharing by each province was something very learning. The provinces are wonderful pastoral and social work. The provinces were frank and open in answering the question given to them. Some of them had really worked hard in studying and answering the questions. They shared many challenges and difficulties encountered in animating the provinces. The animation of the Friars is getting difficult due to slow influence of modern technology and media. Many of the shared one or two common difficulties like Individualism and Transparency. This may not be very serious but the provinces need to work on it now itself before it is too late.
The challenges are too many for the provinces which are nothing if the Friars are faithful to the great Capuchin spirituality and charism. The challenges in modern India are increasing in all the fields. The economic growth in India has made some of the donors for social work to discontinue to finance. This has negative effect on our social work. The economic growth is not going to support the church. In India the church doesn't receive any financial support from the government. due to big numbers of vocations in India, the provinces have to look for financial support abroad. The general Curia has been a big support so far but it is going to be discontinued soon as the resources are getting lesser and lesser. This is one of the biggest challenges that the provinces shared during their presentation.
