Close to this parish is the dam ....it is a nice place to hang around....the dam provides water for quite good number of small towns and villages in North Goa....
Perfect picture.......i loved the place....quite and serene to lift heart in praise and gratitude to the Lord for the wonderful creation.....it was a hottest day in Goa
The dam is surrounded by small hills and the water remains till summer.....the hills are always green
The Parish doesn't have any big activities but the Maria Bambino sisters run a Kindergarten ....the people of the parish and others send their children here.....sisters are doing also pastoral work along with the Capuchins.....most of these people are working outside.....many of them have big farms of coconuts and other season fruits......but people prefer to migrate outside Goa
We visited the kindergarten when it was time for the kids to get back home...they all join their hands pray before they live the classrooms....they are small ones but sharp and intelligent....they sang rhymes and narrated short stories....all speak English....and Konkani.....
Steve feels Blessed among women....these are three sisters of Maria Bambino.....
The Parochial house is converted into convent and all the corridors are converted into class rooms....
Beautiful church....there are about 80 families here...the friars come every day for the Mass......along with the sisters are about 30 people who come for the daily Mass......
