We are on our Way to Rome Trieste

The General Minister thanks the fraternity for looking after the general council for last one week. He thanked also the various persons who helped to cook and even to provide some good food and delicacies of the place.
Leaving a place after a wonderful week of good  fraternal environment and good work too, it is always a sad moment to leave a place.....we have to leave because we have another week of council in the General Curia. Today we council spent the whole morning for ourselves for sharing our experiences of three years which we are completing. We also shared many of our expectations and hopes for the future and how we can spent best the rest of the three years.....a lot of suggestions and points emerged from our sharing. The council members were rich in offering wonderful suggestions which were practical and could be implemented. The Order needs to some concrete steps in order to tackle the issues of Individualism, personal apostolates and works. The aspect of Faith, charism, spirituality and prayer is taking a back seat....today we are afraid to speak about God and His role in our Life. The question today we need to ask is Are we men of God? Do we preach the Love of God and the personal experience of Him? It is very sad that many of us do not want to hear anything about spirituality but speaking, talking and writing about the secular world and things are always welcomed and appreciated. The impact of secularism is very high and it is taking heavy toll of our religious life. We should not be afraid to preach and speak about Jesus in whom we believe. It is Him that we have to project in our ministry and not ourselves. If Jesus and his projects are our priorities, the society will never reject or even sideline us. The people outside want us to be the voice and face of Jesus. Is Capuchin life losing its rich and great heritage, history and spirituality? Can we as sons of St. Francis rise up and go back to the traditions and charism? Let us be alive? It all will happen in the fraternal context and not as an individual.

The vicar of the fraternity friar Placido....a missionary in Africa for number of years....he expressed his gratitude towards the council and said that the fraternity was feeling sad to have you all gone from here....he invited the council once again next year...

Some moments in the refectory with selfie.....
Friars just love selfies.....hope it won't make us selfish......
