Shanti Ashram, Perumbavoor

This friary was started with the intention of accommodating the senior friars. Initially they did have senior friars who were well looked after by the friars. There are four friars who are buried here. It is a good place and few neighbors are around....basically it is a quite place.....the hospital is close by and the town is just 1km away.......
Later on the friars decided to allow the medical students Male only to be accommodated in the house since it is big friary....it went on for some times but later the hospital stopped one section of their college and so the number dropped drastically.....today they don't have the boys....

The friary is simple...the interiors are also very much capuchin but well maintained .....it is not a big place but just enough for the friars to move around....today the friary is also used for the Prayer days and recollection days.....

The friars are involved in pastoral work and assistance to OFS...there are many regions in this part of Kerala of OFS ....friars constantly go for the meetings and rendering spiritual help.....the friars are well known preachers who are in demand.....

In the centre Br. Maria Lal (Guardian) Br. Christy Francis and Br. Simon.....lovely fraternity....they have wonderful time together.....give their best to the local church here....Christy is known for preaching retreats to the religious men and women......
