Capuchin Sevanalyam, Palakkad

This property was bought in the town with the intention of starting a social centre and also to start a parish. Later the plans got changed and the province decided to start a home for the aged in 2004. It worked for about 4 years and later the provinces decided to convert into a home for the boys. There have been many boys who have profited from this centre. The children who come here from broken and poor families. The friars do everything for the children without charging them. There are generous people from all section of the society. The benefactors provide things for the running of the centre. Br. Reji was the pioneer of the boys home. He along with the others faced many difficulties and problems but stood their ground and provided a good home for the poor and unfortunate boys. Today there are 18 boys from the age of 10 to 17. It is recognized and supported by the government. There are regular visits by the government officials.
