Fourth Day of the Council Meeting

The parents of Friar Brian Bandya who is pursuing his doctoral studies visited Rome yesterday. In their honor we organized a dinner.
The first session of this morning was dedicated to discussing and evaluating the report of the external audit done by the Jesuit Father James. We reflected upon the suggestions and each one pointed out the importance of the suggestions. It is a good sign that we did this external audit which will be helpful in the long run. It is good to hear from some one who does not belong to us or one of us. But he comes as an outsider and hears, learns and evaluates the way we live and work. It is a great help in any administration. I am confident that this external audit will improve our output as well as our rapport and relationships.

Cardinal is being welcomed by the General Minister.....he came along with his secretary...
Then we had some more reports of the extraordinary chapters, provincial chapters, Formation meetings, conference meetings. The reports are all well prepared and presented. Some of us use the power point through which we bring the provinces and the conferences closer to Curia. It is good to show what we do and where we visit.

The General Minister is welcoming and introducing Cardinal to the fraternity
Most of our Capuchin Bishops do visit the general curia while they are in Rome. There are some who are regularly visiting the curia and among them two names stand out, they are Bishop John Corrivaue and Cardinal Shean O'Molly. Cardinal was with us for the Lunch. He brings joy and happiness to all of us. We are proud of him and what he does for the Universal church. He is part of the 8 Cardinals appointed by the Pope.
