PADOVA ASHRAM, PARAMBARA, CALICUT

This friary is attached with the parish.....there are 200 families well looked after spiritually by the friars....there are three friars in the community.....the capuchins had school in early 80' which was given to the FC sisters.....we are without the school...the school today is one of the well sought schools in the area.....the friars and sisters have good relationship.......the parish is very active....friars are involved in preaching and counseling too.....
 The capuchin friars are loved by people for their simplicity and humility....there are so many lay people who want to do their best for the friars....this is Mr. Tom who is a close associate of the friars....he is ever ready to help and drive them to different places too....he drove me from community to another.....God bless him and his family
 This is one part of the Padova friary....very clean and maintained well by the friars....here the friars do everything....only one old woman is the cook but most of the time the friars do the cooking
 Yesterday it was raining like cats and dogs.....it brought down the temperatures....it looks like monsoon is already set in kerala....

 Friars Jose Thomas, has studied sound engineering ...he is expert in sound mixing and other stuff....friar Justin is a professor in a B Ed college...he teaches there but stays in the friary....he is talented friar...has many degrees and at the moment he is pursuing his doctorate....he is a motivator for the young friars.....
 Guardian Shaju...simple friar ...he is also the parish priest...he has obtained PG in counseling which he uses in the parish...he has a dream to start a counseling centre.....all young friars talented guys....Pavanatma lucky to have these young friars who are the hope of the Order and province
