The Hunger to see and Experience Jesus today

Why we would like to See Jesus. Why? Some Greeks ask the apostles. And Jesus shows up. Why ask to see Jesus? Maybe because they have heard of him, of some miracle, some of his gesture. Or even some of his strong word. They want to see. Curiosity? Well, if it was, this is not so bad. Although Jesus from whom perhaps they expected more, makes a speech a bit 'daring for people like them who do not know him: "He who loves his life loses it"; "If anyone wants to serve me, follow me, and where I am, there shall also my servant" and other speeches a little 'difficult.

I wonder: there are people today who would want to see Jesus? They are hungry to experience Him. Most of them know Him and there is no curiosity or there is some curiosity. I know that there are so many including me would like to  see Jesus. There is a possibility still valid today. And it is that of the "serve". You can serve Jesus and follow him: you are given the chance to see it. Where Is That? In the eyes of a poor brother, a friend who is indifferent to any discourse about Jesus, that person so much poor, in the Church today so muddied by many, in the mission, oratories, and especially in prayer.

Today you can see Jesus. He is not far away and you just have to look for him. You must get in listening if you want to see. He might appear hidden but present in reality around you. And, by serving, you will be united to the Father. Because that's what Jesus wants.

You have to get under the cross to see Jesus. He will attract you to himself. You just have to make the effort to give a little to your habits which be will crushed and you will be able to "see" Jesus.

Many believe Jesus is absent, especially when something bad, negative, unexpected. But it is there, he is present, to cry with you, to suffer with you. God is there beside you. But do not see Him due to lack of faith.  But Jesus reminds us that blessed are those who believe without seeing. The temptation of seeing and touching is always lurking around you.

Back to Jesus, come back to the cross, feel the attraction of this man-God that from that wood atrocious loved everyone, even you, with an immense love.  the cross where He hung spreads an immense love for all mankind also present. Today is the time to realize that life is empty without Jesus.

I always thank God for the many people who convert every day, every day strive to "see Jesus". And maybe also strive to see Jesus with their lives that CHANGE day by day. And the past becomes just a memory.
