This morning i celebrated Mass for the family of my friend who died some days ago. The feast of St. Teresa of child Jesus reminds us that we need to have the spirit and attitude of little children who with open hearts ask their parents because of their trust and faith in them. The children who build up this trust are a big example for us to be the Children of God our heavenly father with simple love, dependence on Him for everything, to be innocents and trust the Father in all the moments of our lives. God takes care of us if we really approach Him with the attitude and behavior of the little ones. We have all the doors open to arrive at the house of God who is loving and merciful but we need courage to walk towards this house of love and mercy. We have become bigger and stronger believing in our own self so some how at the moment we don't feel the need of Him who is ever waiting for us to enter into His heart. We have closed all the doors and windows of our being because i don't need anyone...I am the boss of my life. I can get and do whatever i want because i have the capacity to achieve forgetting that the Capacity comes from HIM.
Today let us pray for the innocent children who are used and abused by some sick people. Children who are abandoned by their parents for selfish motives. Children who have no one to approach. Children who are forced to beg by some evil groups. We must see Jesus in all these children who are waiting for our love and compassion. They depend on someone who has something to share. Let us change our attitude towards these unfortunate ones. As God showed them compassion let us express and show our compassion and love to them.
