Happy Feast to General Minister and Happy Birthday to Br. Wilehemus

Today is the feast of St. Mauro and feast day of General Minister. Today we also celebrate the 50th Birthday of Br. Wilehemus. This morning GM celebrated the mass and preached a short but very touching homily loaded with messages. He spoke about Eli, the temple priest who acts as a guide and master to Samuel. He shows him the way and what he needs to answer. Eli is the one who makes Samuel to listen to the Lord with open heart and mind. Eli represents today's formators and vocation directors who are discerning the vocations. They need to follow the example of Eli who teaches us to listen to the voice of the Lord.In the Gospel message Jesus is asking us to see and look around to see the suffering people. Jesus goes about healing and bringing about joy and happiness in the lives of the people.

Br. Wilehemus, is called lovingly Willie, he is the darling brother of the community. He is a nice friar who is responsible for the Scaristy and refectory. He is busy the whole day doing the other odd works. He has a good rapport with every friar in the Curia. He keeps smiling the whole and makes every one happy with his jokes. We pray for him to the Lord that He blesses and grants good health to Willie.
Br. General Minister, a wonderful friar. First of a all friar and brother to all of us in the curia. He mixes with everyone in the community. Inspite of the heavy load of work he never shows that on his face or in his rapport with other. What i love his tremendous knowlegde in History, Theology and spirituality. One likes to listen his well 'prepared homilies. May the good Lord bless him and grant him good health which he needs for animation of the Order. He keeps travelling all over the world and this is not an easy job. Storm heavens for him.
