Retreat for the Members of Sword of the Spirit (SOS) Pune

Krist Kiran Parivar (KKP) came into being in March 2000. KKP is a recognised Private Lay Association of the Faithful in the Diocese of Poona. KKP is a Full Member Community of the Sword of the Spirit International (SOS). The SOS is an International Association of Covenant Communities (www.swordofthespirit.org).

 Our vision is to be a “Community of Disciples on Mission”. We believe that belonging to a strong community is a way of being protected from the “world, the flesh and the devil”, something that all of us are faced with. For us community is a “bulwark” that is both a “place of protection”, but also a “place of offence”, enabling us to capture new territory for the Lord. We do this by providing an environment of support and formation and a mission to proclaim the gospel. We also focus on family life, because the family is where the church is. Couples are encouraged to life our way of life in the family first, having regular couple meetings, family prayer, family times etc.

 25 young and old men came for a week end retreat in JDV PG block....they are very enthusiastic about their community life...conduct a lot of ongoing formation program....all married me...some retired from their work...mostly men who had had high positions....professionals and army men too... 

 Themes given to me were.....Communion in Community, the cost of Discipleship, building inter-personal relationship...conflict management and encountering Jesus in our day today life.....
