Nagercoil is one of the best places in Tamilnadu....close to Kerala and well connected rail and road...all the trains that go to Kanyakumari pass through Nagercoil....a crowded city with different cultures living together.....
This cloistered in the Campus of Bishop's house....and well protected and guarded....the garden is big enough to produce vegetables and fruits of the sisters....there are 23 sisters....few are seniors and some few are juniors...it is a vibrant community....
Throughout the day the number of people who come to visit the blessed sacrament is marvelous...many of them come from the city as the cloistered is little out of the city....you can see young and old...spending time in silence before the blessed sacrament.....
every day for the Eucharist there are about 50 to 60 faithful who participate....on Sunday's the crowd is very big....the chapel is big enough to contain about 150 and the same amount of people sit outside as the sisters make chairs available for the faithful...
I began the retreat yesterday evening.....all of them were awaiting .....this is my 7th Monastery where I am preaching the retreat on Franciscan themes.....they do have some questions and clarification.....
They listen....attentively as I told them not to take down notes.....
You can see in the picture that there is one active sister from another congregation who is come here to see and experience the life of the cloistered sisters....let us pray for her....
