Let us be the Light of Christ!!!!!!!!

One of my villagers is born blind and we are of the same age. In our childhood playing in the village he would always ask me about light, like how it looks, what is the color, etc. He would everyday long to see light. He wanted to go out all alone without any help and support like the others but it was not possible as he was born blind. There are so many who are blind physically and spiritually and they all need light…..the society, Church, religious Orders need spiritual light today. We have to remind ourselves of the Light that Christ has given. The light of Christ needs to be shown and allow ourselves to shine in the darkness that exists all around us. 

 We see that everything seems to be darkened by our purposeful violation of God’s commands and laws for our own benefit. We seem to be moving towards darkness and it looks like we love and like it. 

 What has always disturbed always is if we are disciples of Jesus then why we prefer to walk in darkness, ignoring the ever shining and saving light of Jesus. The light of Jesus brightens everything in our life….

 Many face darkness created by others through their wicked ways….criticism and making life difficult by dividing them on the line of caste, creed and color…in this darkness that people face we need to help them to grow in their faith….true faith will allow all of us to walk in the light of Christ and dispel the darkness…

 Let us know that our lives as Christians and consecrated men and women have an obligation to be light of Christ….Let us know that we have to be the light of Christ and that is the need of the hour. Let us be aware that the darkness is growing and its ugly head is taking its toll….let us promote and live newness of life that the Light of Christ can give us.
