When someone leaves for vacations or holidays, normally the close friends would say " please think of me". Think of someone in our best times is something not very normal because at that time the whole attention and concentration is on ourselves. The person is at the centre of his own attention. One does not need to think of someone because he has the whole world at one's beck and call...he has the economic or financial advantage....why then think of someone whose presence or even thought is required amidst the enjoyment. But when bad times hit us then we think of those very people who had asked us to remember and think of them.....we knock their doors for support and help....the same very people who humbly requested us....why this kind of mentality we see around in the society....we have become selfish and egocentric...self-centered....
The clarion call from the society is to think of those less privileged people who are asking us to think of them in their misery and poverty, sickness and loneliness....even our own parents ask us to think of them because they are not sure whether there will be someone to take care of them....how many are left all alone in spite of having children...many of them left to die all alone...these sincerely and seriously ask us to think of them...
The poor nations request rich nations to think of them...on one hand rich and developing nations spend huge amount of money may be on arms and ammunitions, celebrations and building projects which may not be of any use.....whereas these poor nations have basics needs like food, medicines, shelter and water to provide for their citizens...their are all knocking on our doors asking us to think of them...
