Mahatma Gandhi: Promoter of peace and Brotherhood....

Tomorrow 2nd October India celebrates the Birth Anniversary of Nation’s Father Mahatma Gandhi with joy and many programs organised by the government and other institutions all over India. Every year for the citizens and as a nation we get a golden opportunity to learn from Gandhi the lessons for life and for politics. He is proposed as model of all virtues and principles that make human life worth living if practiced well. Mahatma Gandhi as a simple man dreamt big dreams for the nation and to set India free from the hands of the British and he did succeed to have independence. He has inspired by all the leaders and common people all over the world. He is respected for the non-violent movement against the British which won hearts of all the people. He is remembered by the big and small of the society, there is no one who does not know him.

M. Gandhi was admirer and believer in Truth and he always found truth attractive. He advocated to all to accept and believe in the Truth and never to lie for the gain of oneself. From small things to great things one should be able to practice truth in order to enhance human life. He accepted that lying is always wrong which leads to falsehood and truth leads liberation and knowledge of the Divine.

M. Gandhi is well known for his value of non-violence and this value has been practiced by many people in India and others in many parts of the world. Today this value has become very important as the society is becoming more violent on many issues like religion and community. He proposed that there should not be violence for violence but like Jesus Christ who said that if someone slaps on your one cheek you must offer another cheek. There is always a chance and opportunity for a mutual dialogue and peaceful solution and decision of every problem. Today there are more problems in the world and many are just contemplating wars in the regions because every one wants solution without a dialogue. Everyone wants to walk the path and way of violence and hate in order to be on top of the other.

Today there is cry for a better society and world without doing anything or even lifting ones figure to change some situations. We all can become instruments of change if we begin where we are all. Today the government promotes many common good programs for the society but the involvement of the people is very minimal and so no change takes place. If all get involved the change will happen and the world will experience a better society and good relationships with every one.
He taught everyone that admitting ones weakness and shortcomings can lead us to confidence and strength. Forgiving oneself and others creates a positive power to change situations. Hard work leads to success and to gain goals and dreams of life for nation and for individual.
