To day there are many pharisees who are known for their double characters and behaviours. They are persons who show their real colour in different situations. They have one rule for themselves and another rule for the others. They make an hue and cry when someone does one small mistake they are the first ones to cast stones and accuse the persons as if they have committed a big crime which unpardonable. The same pharisees do everything possible by making the use of the law and rule for their advantage. No one can say anything to them and if one says or criticises owe to that person.
Lord Jesus had fight these men during his time. They were always watchful and anxious about Jesus and his disciples. These men were just waiting for a chance to accuse Jesus and his disciples. Jesus is always ready with a fitting and strong answer to encounter them. Their rules and regulations, laws and various prescriptions aboutritual purity and cleanliness, about preparing food and eating are questioned by Jesus.These men are laying burdens on the common people but use the same laws for their own good. Men full of greed and evil. They never think good of the society or individual persons. We Yet they are "full of greed and evil."find them in our next doors, parish, working places, in community etc.....we just got to open our eyes and look for them, we will find them in big numbers....
In our personal lives to we would be comfortable to be like the Pharisees, we very quick to judge others while we close our eyes on our own mistakes and sins and those of our relations and friends. We always look for the imperfections in others.
