A young man not happy with life, having all the degrees at hand and yet not finding a good job. Friends and relatives all gone away. He could not pray or be at peace so he decided to end his life...walking on the railway tracks to end his life, spotted a piece of paper, he picked up and read it....it was a page from the Bible....it read all those who are weary and heavily burden come to me and i will give you rest.....I am the way, truth and life...Young man read over and over again and decided to hand over his life to Jesus....moved aside from the railways tracks and began to live his life serving the others ....began teaching children in the slums....visiting the sick in hospitals and ect....he heard, read and began doing what the Lord commanded him to do...
The word of God is powerful and it has all the powers to change anyone....saints like st. Francis of Assisi and St. Ignatius etc...all were inspired by the word of God which acted like transforming agent...the men and women in the church lived their lives according the word of God and transformed the society in which they lived.....
Today Jesus is calling his Mother as blessed not because she gave him birth but because she listened to his words and did what he commanded....She was a disciple who always followed him....Today in our society who call great and important those who are rich, who have name and fame....but the poor ones have no friends....if we connect ourselves with the poor and marginalised we would surely be called blessed by the Lord....
