Come and See......

Philip and Nathanael are two new disciples of Jesus. The first receives the call directly; the second receives it through a friend of his. The two meet in Jesus. This meeting represented for them an experience of faith, a change in their behavior, a new dimension in the way of seeing things, which opens them to other possibilities.
It represented for them a break with the past, the penetration into a new world, a new journey of life, since seeking Jesus means seeking the truth - seeking the light, seeking God -.
"Come and see" ... Entering the intimacy of Jesus means discovering his way of living, living with him ... that is, with our fellow men. It is only in community experience, in the interest for the way of life of others, in the fact of remaining and in solidarity with others, that we gradually acquire the experience of our faith. "You will see the open sky" ... God presents himself and makes contact with men, through Christ; he wants to feel close to men, and it is among them that he set his tent in the community. Heaven, in this perspective of the Gospel, comes to us through Christ. Through our participation, as far as we can, to the life of God. How many things we could see and experience if we followed Jesus.
