The Last Day of the General Council Meeting

Yesterday we had session only for ourselves where we discussed many important points on the agenda....

In the afternoon session was dedicated to listening once again to the various offices of the Order....we had the director of the Librarian of the International College and the secretary of the Archives....they both of them presented to us the work that they do in these two offices.

They were followed by Brothers Aklilu and James from the Economic solidarity. They narrated to us the difficult economic situations in Europe. Most of the provinces are experiencing a huge fallout in the donations that they were receiving before.....the advanced age of the friars who would go round and collect donations is one of the biggest negative points. The European provinces who always donated generously to the Order are no longer in a position to do any more....some provinces are still generous and do help.......

Then we had our Guardian who completed one year of his service in theCuria.....he expressed his satisfaction with regard to animation of the fraternity......
