Br. Benitius Brevoort, former general assistant for the Secular Franciscan Order and guardian of the general curia and of the friary in Garbatella, passed away yesterday evening. He was 78. He was preceded in death by his younger brother, Br. Antonius Brevoort, in 2008. May he rest in peace.
He was a good friar with a smile always.....ready for any work anywhere....He was originally from Holland but brought and brought up in Indonesia.......studied in Indonesia and joined the Capuchins there.....he was a big help for the Order and the Capuchins in Indonesia.....He used to translate Italian language into Indonesia for the Indonesian friars.....he would even translate the documents of the Order.......May God grant him eternal rest.....
