Journey towards Swiss!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Bigorio Monastery, Switzerland’s oldest Capuchin community, was founded in 1535. It is also the home of Fra' Roberto who, as the last monk to remain here, is host and pastor as well as artist.

We left this morning at 6.30 for Termini to catch train to Milano........the train on time at 7am reached Milano at 10am....the friars were waiting to take us to the provincial curia.......

The friars had already prepared a breakfast.....we feasted on it......
Br. Mark D'Souza.....our ex-secretary of the Economic solidarity is now in the provincial curia of Milano province....he is working under fraternal collaboration....he has maintained his health and form too....looks very young and energetic....
We celebrated the Eucharist at 12pm along with the people....Br. General presided over .....preached a good homily saying that we need to serve the poor .....

Br. Raffaele was at home in the provincial curia....active and running all over as an young man....

The Lunch along with the fraternity.....

Br. Pio...loves Indian spirituality....he is doing yoga after the Lunch....one asana.....posture.....which he loves....
Renovation work was carried out twenty years ago and the opportunity taken to commission Ticino artists with the decor. Since then the chapels have been adorned with sgraffiti paintings by Pierino Selmoni, Pietro Travaglini, Max Läubli, Alberto Salvioni, Carlo Manini, Giancarlo Tamagni, Gianni Paris and Fra' Roberto. Each painting speaks its own language and it is left to the observer to decide the message held by the individual stations. Today the monastery serves a variety of purposes, as one example for a weekend of silence. Not everyone’s cup of tea of course but the tranquility of the spot provides a setting worthy of silence.

The oldest friary is beautiful......quite and peaceful.....surrounded by mountains....
We are all in the garden.....

 Wow what a scenery..
The General Minister....is the guide.....
