There are about 20 religious communities and most of them are formation houses. Therefore it is called a Mini vatican.....the Salesians have Philosophy house where all the other religious send their candidates for classes.....it is about 200 acres of land bought by one missionary and then distributed to various congregations for formation as well as social and charitable work......
The Capuchins of Mary Matha got about 4 acres of land for the purpose of Postulancy.....they have put up a small but very nice house for the postulants of Mary Matha.....the project is sanctioned by the economic solidarity and swiss province....it was began during the time of Br. Praveen Boyapati and completed three years ago.....Br. Chinnu the present provincial inaugurated the new house.
This year the province has got 10 postulants....they are young and very vibrant,,,,,the gave me a very warm welcome....three friars are as formators.....Inniaha Polisetty is the rector and two others assist him......
In the campus the diocese has got a famous way of the cross sanctuary where lots of people come as pilgrims especially during the Lent season......
The friars have cultivated the land.....this year they have sowed grams and other grains....the rains are very scanty.....they face huge water crisis....during the summer the open well goes dry...water harvesting is done but due to insufficient rains no good collection of water can be done......the friars along with the postulants work morning and evening about three hours......good formation along with the grace of working....
This morning i celebrated the Mass and invited the brothers to be like prophets to speak and work fot the `lord.....
