Fr. Giuseppe continues his talk

Sharing replaces Otium: The halt of the Roman hierarchy to employed work by those invested in ordained ministry extinguished reflection on evangelization taken up in the context of the working world, moving it to a sharing with the poorer classes.
The experience of the small fraternities shares the hope of moving from missionary concern to the simple sharing of life, accepting that the very structures of traditional religious can be called into question.
The sharing with workers is now experienced as an authentic return to the experience of St. Francis and of the first friars who as codified in the Earlier Rule, were permitted to continue to the exercise of the profession practiced before entering the fraternity.

The fraternity positioned and lived right in the middle of the neighborhood, thus open to all, in a dimension of universality, also radically transformed the concept of obedience.
As for poverty and for prayer, the values in play are those of efficacy and truth: one excludes the other.
THE SLOW RE-EVALUATION OF THE WORKING SPACE:Our seraphic father, by divine inspiration, with the foundation of his order, established a synthesis between the active and contemplative life. observance of the originality introduced by Francis does not consist in eremitical but in mission
Our Father st. Francis, during the whole of his life, pursued the plan of going to evangelize the unbelievers...he introduced in the rule a special chapter for those who wanted to consecrate themselves to this difficult ministry.
The ideal of poverty in its initial fervor: for some it is questing; for others, in a more permanent way. it is assiduous and disinterested work; for still others it becomes service to the poor, even the poorest and the lepers.
WORK, THE TRUE ORIGINALITY OF FRANCISCANISM: IF FEMININE Franciscanism is the pioneer in interpreting poverty as a sign of assiduous work such that it is a modality that  knows the poor, proletarian classes, it is however the lovers of the sand of Assisi who militated outside Franciscan and Catholic circles ti support with determination and new vigor how work constitutes the true originality of the minority group.
Maria Sticco: the aspect of Franciscans, that more responded to the various natural dispositions, gave religious value to work. work is therefore apostate, but also a sacred hymn.
Francis allowed the friars to continue the working activity they had before entering the fraternity, recognizing the good of work tout court.
The religious life means to highlight, at the same time the specificity of its identity and its prophetic role means to challenge to the crushing reality of a one dimensional politics.
