St. Anthony Capuchin Farm House, Valpoi, Goa

Valpoi is about 45 KM from the Provincial House Mapusa.....it is a mining area.....Iron Ore....but today it is all stopped due to environmental issues...the whole area is green and hilly....the people are mostly farmers....this part of Goa is always green and a lot of fruits and other vegetables etc are grown here.....the Capuchins entered here some 6 years ago.....the farm is quite big and well taken care of.....Br. Nicolau was the pioneer along with Br Agnelo who is now going to Mexico....the farm has coconut and arc nuts trees......there is no pastoral work as there are no Catholics around....friars have to go far away for ministry....
The farm house has also some birds and goats.....

There is no friary built for the friars but a small house with just two rooms and kitchen is built....the land is still not in our name and the present Guardian Brian and Rosowin are trying their best.....

The coconut and arc nut yield is very good.....the friars work hard.....they do work on the farm and also cook for themselves.....

One feels at home....small house....you see one another every single moment......

Friar Brian driving me to the Provincial Curia....one of the most beautiful bridges of Goa.....

We are passing through old Goa....place of st. Francis Xavier.....wonderful place to visit.....

Roads leading to Bom Jesu where the body of St. Francis Xavier is kept

The Cathedral and the back waters.....

Evening time and Panjim, Capital of Goa gets festive mood.....lot of tourists.....time to return home after work....a traffic jam on the narrow roads of Goa....you don't mind as you can look around and enjoy the natural beauty....

You love to be in this part of India....but your pockets should be full....its expensive....
