CCMSI Meeting at St. Francis Monastery, Barlowganj, Mussorie

This monastery was founded by Archbishop Michaelangelo Jacopi of the Tuscany Capuchin Province. It was dedicated to St. Francis of Assisi on December 8, 1874. Since 1880 the monastery was used as the Novitiate, study house and the residence of the retired miseries. In 1900, st. francis monastery became the Major seminary of the students of the Florence Province who were sent to Indian Mission. from 1924 to 1927 it served as the seminary of the Indian commissariat. 
 The CCMSI meeting begins this evening and the provincials and other Major superiors of Four Franciscan Families are arriving.....It is far away from rest of India....it is a hill station and from plane area you have to climb up around 45 KM.......these Mussorie hills are called queen of hills.....it is already cold here....the temperatures are dropping down....the entire place is known for boarding schools.....

 The Church has many old statues which are about 150 years old....they are adorable ones....this statute of St. Francis attracts everyones attention....look how humble and simple he looks....in fact he was...
