Leaving for Pastoral Visitation of the province of Goa

We are on our way back to the Provinces for the pastoral and fraternal visitation, for conference's meeting and assemblies of the provinces. It's always a great thing to get back to the Province for the animation. But it is sad to leave Curia where we are only for few days. We miss the Curia life and the Friars but have no other alternative than to leave.

I am heading to Goa for the pastoral visitation and I am going to be there for two weeks. I will be always celebrating St. Francis feast in Goa itself. It is a pleasure to be with the friars and share many experiences of the Order and its animation.
The whole Catholic world is now reading about the Pope and his addresses and sermons to the Americans. His visit has created new hope and expectation. It is good for the Church of America that the Holy Father visits and interacts with her. There is excitement all over, people are gathering in big numbers and waving flags and cheering him up. But for many his visit is going to be a turning point in personal and societal life, his visit is also going to be a touching moment in their spiritual life and journey. The Catholic Church is going to be cherishing his visit and thus bring about renewal in the Church. The family synod and the meeting with the Bishops are two important events which will shape and bring some color to the Catholic life in the States.
I know what it means to have a visit from the head of the Catholic Church. It not only inspires but it motivates us to live our faith in all circumstances. The clarion call of the Pope is to end the Poverty and war in the world. He is promoting the values of family life. There are many things which he is desiring to change and definitely there is going to be a change. People are desperate to have a change but a singly voice is not enough though strong and appealing. The Voice of Holy Father is being heard and many are responding very positively. This is a good sign of the Unity of the World to eliminate the differences between the rich and poor nations. This voice is going to support the refugees of the civil wars in some of the countries. It is not just enough to preach about God but we need to make this God more visible in a concrete way to these poor victims of the War.
