St. Leopoldo Friary, Perayam

It is a pastoral house. There are 4 friars who are involved in the pastoral ministry in the diocese. Three friars are assigned to the parishes as parish priests close to the friary. The friars go in the morning and return in the evening to the friary. The guardian organizes these ministries very well. These parishes are most difficult one and the Bishop has requested our friars to help him to settle some of the issues. The friars are well accepted and welcomed by the faithful. the simplicity and poverty of the friars is something that the people are happy about, The friars told me that there is a lot of collaboration and cooperation on the part of the parishioners.....one is building a new church which involves huge amount of money but the people have come forward to fund this project....there are almost 2000 catholic families....big parish....there are three sub stations too...i visited this parish and celebrated Mass for the sisters
