ST. PAUL’S GHAZIABAD – 1979 – MEERUT DIOCESE

The origin of the mission at Ghaziababd goes back to the Vincentian fathers from Kerala. They started an English medium school and had to leave because of some circumstances. Br. Amadeus of Tuscany province took over the school and handed over to the Indian capuchins in 1978, From then on the Capuchins have worked hard in this place….There are 2500 students and cannot have more than this number due to the restriction laid by the government. The friars are also involved in pastoral work…..there are 100 Catholic families mostly migrants from the other parts of India. The friars are well appreciated and accepted by one and all….At present Brothers Skylark and Freedie are working as Principal and parish priests respectively….
