Cardinal Oswald Gracias of Bombay Archdiocese Visits our General Curia

Cardinal Oswald is known internationally and he is known for his goodness and humanness in the Church. He is well accepted by the laity as well as clergy. he is wanted wherever he goes. The Holy Father Pope Francis appointed him as one of his advisors in the Vatican. He is also given many other responsibilities which he carries out very faithfully. Cardinal Gracias, 68, was among the eight high-ranking advisors appointed by the new Pope to an advisory council to look into ways of reforming the Vatican bureaucracy. There could be no better person than Cardinal Oswald... he currently also heads the Federation of Asian Bishops Conference and hence speaks not just for the Indian sub-continent but also other countries in the region
Catholics hail Mumbai cardinal Gracias as Pope's advisor


Cardinal Gracias is a Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. He is the archbishop of Bombay (Mumbai) and was appointed by Pope Benedict XVI Oct 14, 2006. He was made a cardinal in 2007.i n 2010, he was elected as the president of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India.

 The Cardinal visited us this afternoon here in Curia. He had lunch with us.
