Post election session

The elections got over by 11am and the newly elected council concelebrated Mass with the President. During the Eucharist they made their profession of Faith and took an oath of secrecy. The Homily of the president dwelt on the theme of communion in the council which will be reflected on the entire province.
The afternoon session began with the presentation of the Report by Br. Sean, the Custos of South Africa. He mentioned that the fraternal collaboration is going on well with 6 friars from Maharashtra are working already in South Africa. After three years the need of few more friars will be expressed by the receiving jurisdiction. The friars are happy and well integrated in the custody.

One of the parishioners very active member of the Parish celebrated his silver jubilee of wedded life. He is known to most of the friars. Around 15 friars joined him in thanking the Lord during a Eucharist which was celebrated by me.
In the evening we thanked the Lord for the gift of new council. In their honor the province hosted a dinner. We invited one of our SFO members Mr. Lucy and her Brother Roney who have been faithfully supporting the province through the means of collecting SMA masses and benefactors. she has brought many good and generous benefactors for the Province. We invited them for the dinner during which we thanked and presented them a small token of love as sign of our appreciation.
