A packed Cathedral with devotees and citizens of Bergamo, 18 Bishops and about 170 Capuchin Friars among whom many were lay brother. The presence of the lay brothers at the ceremony was a solidarity of them with Br. Tomass, a man without the stole and the priestly Ordination was able to communicate and pass on God's Love to the people around. Br. Mauro, General Minister in his thanksgiving did expresss his appreciation for the role the Lay brothers have played in the Capuchin Order. He thanked everyone present, the priests, Bishps and the Cardinal. He surprised everyone when he began thanking in German Language.

The Cathedral where the Eucharist was celebrated was packed with faithful and the Choir was really angelic and heavenly. The presence of 6 Capuchin Provincials from the area along with many young friars did send a strong message to the Church that the Capuchin Order is not old and the Vocations are still a reality.

The Curia members left on saturday morning by a Bus to the Termini from where at 9am the Frecca Rossa, a fast train whose speed is about 300kmph took us to Milano, We were greeted and welcomed by Milano Friars. After the lunch which was a festive one we drove to Bergamo, a beautiful city which has a strong Catholic traditions. The city has a huge seminary where once upon a time there used to be about 400 seminarians and today there are about 100 of them. After the mass we were taken to the seminary for dinner which was really a capuchin dinner but what made the dinner special was the warmth and love of the capuchin brothers that filled the air in the refectory. Everyone huging and embracing, typical capuchin gesture made everyone feel at home. We drove back to the provincial curia in Milano after dinner. This morning, we left for Rome at 9am. Frecca Rossa was invaded by the Capuchins. The friars everyone contended and happy returned to the Curia for Lunch.

Let us congratulate ourselves for another brother in heaven to intercede for us. Bl. Tomasso pray for us!
